The instrument will display the soil PH value. For accurate measurement, wait until the value become stable before taking a reading, and take several area measurements to obtain an average. Press MODE button to switch between displaying soil moisture, temperature and PH. It will display "HI" when the measured PH value is greater than 8.5 and "LO" when the measured value is less than 2.0
